The Pickle kids

Adoption day is almost here! On February 24th- he is ours forever. Finally. What a long road. We are so excited to make it official! Kyller has been doing really great. He is loving his play group at The Childrens Center where he is still in an emotional regulation group with several other little boys. This has helped him a lot, and he has a wonderful therapist that is helping him figure all of the stuff he has been through out. He LOVES Indiana Jones, and often demands to be called "Indy" He also loves to play with the girls, and adores his Daddy more than anything. When Scott was in the hospital a couple weeks ago, it was without a doubt hardest for Kyller. He is excited to play baseball this spring and take another round of swimming lessons.

Ashlee- the master performer. Ashlee loves to pose for the camera, even when sporting her "Makin Bakin" (Easy bake Oven) attire. She has been enjoying cooking and cooking. The Culley cousins got her a cupcake maker for Christmas, and I don't think she will ever find anything as fabulous again. She makes cupcakes for everyone whenever she gets the chance. (Great idea Jenn!) She is turning 8 in only a week- although she sometimes acts like she is turning 16. We just picked out her babtism dress, and she is so proud to be old enough to have her own scriptures. She is taking piano from Grandma Leslie and loves to play along with CD's. Her forever companion is still Sparkle the Chihuahua. We really love Ashlee, but we really hate Sparkle. I dare say there is not a dumber animal on the planet. But Ashlee adores her- so I guess that is what is important. She is doing great in the 2nd grade, and recently found out that her teacher is now taking piano from Grandma Leslie as well. Ashlee thinks that is pretty great that she has the same piano teacher as her school teacher. It has made school even more special this year.

Rilee just had her big 10 birthday! It was an awesome day, and she still has her party with her friends to look forward to in a couple days at build-a bear.

She shocked me with her birthday request as she has been nothing but a tomboy from day one. She has never cared about what clothing I get for her- she just wears whatever I bring home. BUT- on her brthday, she delighted me with a request for a shopping trip with Mom- a first for us for clothing. We had a lot of fun at "Justice" a clothing store for young girls. Then the second surprise- she wanted to get her ears pierced! Yipee! It was like my birthday instead! We headed over to a jewlery store and she called Ashlee to give her the news. Scott quickly brought the other kids other so they could see their big Sis get them pierced. She picked her birthstone, the Garnet, and was really brave. We picked out a bunch of other earrings for when she can take out her studs after- she even asked for help to match all her outfits! It was a big step for Rilee- she is usually against anything remotely girly. (Not sure if Scott was as thrilled as I- I sometimes think he would have the girls wear paper bags over their heads once they get to high school) She is still a great student, and was voted to the student council this year which has been a fun activity for her after school. I am so proud of her thirst for knowledge and enjoy watching the Discovery channel with her. I think she will be my traveling buddy when she is older...
